The Koreans are a determined and hardworking people. But what happens when a person gets to an age that they can no longer be useful? Some are seen as a burden. But in the ever changing environment around them, these people offer something invaluable: culture. The older generation is a wellspring of stories about the growing pains this country has endured. The question is if the children of Korea will take the time to listen.
My constant search is for the soul. Whether it resides in the hands of an accordion player or it has been abandoned in an old school house, the soul is always present. So much of life is passed by without a second glance. With my photography I want to encourage others to observe the unseen world around them.
